Leisure Business Property Insurance

If you would like a copy of the policy wording and proposal form, please contact our leisure insurance team and we will arrange for the policy wording and form applicable to your activity to be sent to you.

All leisure and hospitality businesses should have insurance to cover their business property such as buildings and/or contents/equipment/stock against events such as storms, fire, burglary etc. Even if you operate your business from home, your home and contents insurer may not cover your business equipment/stock requiring you to take out a separate business insurance policy to protect your business assets.

What is covered under the Altiora Leisure Property Insurance package

Following is a brief description of the cover provided in the Altiora Leisure Property Insurance package. As with all insurance policies, conditions apply and we recommend that you read the full details contained in the policy wording prior to purchasing a Policy.

  • Fire
  • Storm damage
  • Impact
  • Earthquake
  • Fusion and deterioration of food
  • Accidental damage

  • Property temporarily removed from the premises to any other premises within Australia
  • Architects and other fees

  • Fire extinguisher costs
  • Removal of debris
  • Landscaping

It is important to review the amount you’re insured for at least every year to take into account the costs of replacing the buildings and/or the contents – you don’t want to be left short and unable to replace your property in the event of loss or damage.

If you rely on your business income then we also recommend that leisure and hospitality businesses insure against loss of income and the extra cost to set up somewhere else if the premises was destroyed or damaged and not fit for use. (Business Interruption Insurance).
